Everyone has a story. Watch any reality tv show today and you will hear people’s stories. Whether it is American Idol or America’s Got Talent, there is a story behind each contestant that captures your attention. We have a story. Ours is probably not one that captures your attention as well as those types of shows but none-the-less it is our story. So, here it goes…

For a long time we designed, built, trained and consulted for a large corporation as a wholly owned subsidiary. This little company built thousands and thousands of store-within-a-store locations. We were fortunate to be a part of this group of thinkers, movers and shakers in our industry. It was a lot of fun and our foundational knowledge of design and build began to grow.

But then (play dramatic music in your heads) we were acquired, and things were just never the same. The fun left the room and, in 2013, it was time to be done with corporate America and leave the multi-billion dollar company and do our own thing.

With great trepidation of leaving behind good salaries and benefits, we stepped off the proverbial plank into the great blue ocean of entrepreneurship. The first attempt was within shark infested waters and that hurt a little but it was short-lived and we got out alive! (obviously more to that story but, boy, did we learn some good morals).

Fortunately, the second attempt was in friendly waters and with good partners. Our retail design agency had a good run for a couple of years but realized we were running in two different directions and the band broke up. They were a great group to work with and we appreciate our time with them.

As they say, the third time’s a charm. This time it was just us and a small team in the early days. Good times, good clients and great results. We soon were growing, God was blessing us, and we were back to having fun again. We have an incredible team that have joined the ride with us, and nothing could happen without their great efforts. We haven’t worn a tie in years!

We are grateful for what our past has given to us and what we gave it. It’s what has made us who we are today as a retail design agency; diverse backgrounds, experiences and knowledge all brought together under our roof called C² Consultants (that’s C-Squared, yes, we know our email is C2 🙂 ).

We hope you’ll let us join you on your journey and we’ll add to the memories. If not, maybe we’ll just become friends along the way and help each other out when it’s needed. We think sometimes that’s what it’s all about -just being there for people that need you and everything else will get figured out. So, that’s our story. It may not be too special to most people, but it is our story, and it means a lot to us in Eads, TN.
